This directory, curated by the Center for Knowledge Management (CKM), provides access to resources supporting the social and behavioral health needs of the Middle Tennessee community. Resources in the directory can be searched by health determinant domain, targeted population, and title keywords. Metro Transit Authority

Description:
MTA provides bus transportation around metro Nashville to the general public. Bus schedules and routes are available on the web, in paper format, and also within the bus shelters. Exact change is recommended when paying upon entering the bus; drivers can only issue "change cards" for future use for passengers who do not have exact change. A variety of access cards are available for purchase (including 7-day passes, 20-ride passes, etc.) and can be bought online or at the Music City Central Station downtown and via any payment means. An AccessRide service is available for individuals with disabilities who are not able to ride the regular bus routes. Discounted rates are available for seniors 65 and older and people with disabilities who have a qualifying ID card (e.g. Medicare).

Nashville Prevention Partnership works with local organizations and individuals in Nashville in order to prevent substance abuse. Programs they provide include the Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) Program and safe drug disposal.

Nashville Recovery Court Support Foundation

Description:
Nashville Recovery Court Support Foundation (NRCSF) is a State of Tennessee, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services funded program which offers a therapeutic community based approach to substance abuse instead of prison for non-violent offenders. The NRCSF supports three long-term residential recovery centers in Tennessee, which serve both men and women.

Nashville Rescue Mission

The Nashville Rescue Mission provides shelter, food and clothing for adults in need. The faith-based Mission offers a recovery program, counseling, education about addiction, and assistance with financial planning. Neighborhood Health

Description:
Neighborhood Health provides affordable primary, preventive, and women’s healthcare to Middle Tennessee residents. Also offered are counseling services and dental care that is either free or on a sliding scale. Special consideration is given for homeless individuals. Homeless clients have access to psychiatric, mental health/substance abuse, and transportation services. Additional services include a 24-hour call line to speak to a provider about health concerns, counselors to help find health coverage, and interpreter services.

Nicotine Anonymous (NICA)

"NicA" applies a 12-step progam for individuals who have a desire to stop smoking or using nicotine in any form. The website offers access to NicA literature in multiples languages and helps individuals locate the place and time of support group meetings. Online and telephone meetings are available for individuals not able to attend in person.

Nourish Food Bank

Description:
Nourish Food Bank provides food for individuals and families who are facing economic and food insecurity. Eligible individuals will receive a grocery cart (with an amount of food depending on family size) once a month. Nourish Food Bank locations are in Nashville, Murfreesboro, and Smyrna.
