With financial assistance offered to support membership for low-income families/individuals, the YMCA is dedicated to the social, educational and physical development of the community. In addition to offering gym facilities and physical exercise classes, the YMCA also offers wellness and preventive health classes/workshops and spaces for social gatherings. The YMCA is open to both genders.

Youth Encouragement Services is a faith-based organization that offers after-school programs, reading lessons, summer camps, and a recreational sports league for children in inner-city and lower income areas of Nashville.

Youth Villages offer programs to address problems experienced by vulnerable youth (17-21) who are aged out of foster care or the juvenile justice system. The YVLifeSET program offers education/vocational training, interpersonal relationships development, financial management planning, housing assistance, and life skills services. Youth Village also offers in-home support development and residential treatment for children in need of mental health counseling.

In addition to offering gym facilities, the YWCA offers physical exercise classes, provides support for victims of domestic violence and advocates for the rights of women and girls. Additionally, the YWCA hosts and innovative program to raise awareness to young men of violence against women.
