The Commission offers adult education programs, general equivalency degree (GED) preparation classes, and college application assistance. In addition to training and employment services, the Metropolitan Action Commission provides support for safe housing, including payment with electric and gas bills, rent, mortgage, property taxes, rental deposits, and medical prescriptions, and prescribed food/medical equipment. Also, meals for children are available throughout the year via the “Summer Food Service Program.”
