The Tennessee Valley Healthcare System provides a range of short-term inpatient care and outpatient services (including telemedicine) for veterans and offers special programs for those who are homeless or justice-involved. In addition to clinical services, the VA offers help related to mental health and readjustment counseling, and sexual violence counseling.

Vanderbilt Addiction Program is based on a 12-step approach to overcome addiction to drug and alcohol addiction. The Center provides customized care addressing co-occurring mental health issues. Vanderbilt Behavioral Health offers programs for children, adolescents, and adults. Treatment programs are offered for specific needs such as mood disorders, psychotic disorders, inpatient mental health care, outpatient mental health care, and a partial hospitalization program.

Youth Villages offer programs to address problems experienced by vulnerable youth (17-21) who are aged out of foster care or the juvenile justice system. The YVLifeSET program offers education/vocational training, interpersonal relationships development, financial management planning, housing assistance, and life skills services. Youth Village also offers in-home support development and residential treatment for children in need of mental health counseling.
