Precision Medicine Research Area

The overall goal of precision medicine is to integratePrecision Medicine molecular, clinical and environmental data to improve patient outcomes and reduce potential adverse side effects and costs.  The Center for Knowledge Management (CKM) contributes to both institutional and national precision medicine initiatives. One example is the All of Us national research program, which aims to advance precision medicine by recruiting a cohort of 1 million participants. CKM’s involvement includes evaluating and capturing metadata on survey instruments, conducting cognitive interviews, advising on consumer friendly resources regarding precision medicine and genetics, and identifying potential national partners and community organizations for participant recruitment.
