Recruitment Innovation Center

One of the challenges in clinical trials that may compromise the generalizability of results is the under-enrollment by minority populations. Bringing expertise in critical appraisal of the biomedical and grey literature, information scientists at the Center for Knowledge Management (CKM) collaborate with the VUMC Recruitment Innovation Center to evaluate the evidence regarding strategies, materials, and training to increase enrollment in clinical trials by underrepresented populations, including women, minorities, and older adults.
