AccessRide is a publicly funded program of Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA), which provides low cost rides for individuals unable to use the regular city buses due to disabilities. AccessRide uses special vans to accommodate individuals with limited mobility, their service dogs, and their personal care attendants. Eligibility is established through an American with Disabilities Act worksheet; reservations are required to schedule a ride.

MTA provides bus transportation around metro Nashville to the general public. Bus schedules and routes are available on the web, in paper format, and also within the bus shelters. Exact change is recommended when paying upon entering the bus; drivers can only issue "change cards" for future use for passengers who do not have exact change. A variety of access cards are available for purchase (including 7-day passes, 20-ride passes, etc.) and can be bought online or at the Music City Central Station downtown and via any payment means. An AccessRide service is available for individuals with disabilities who are not able to ride the regular bus routes. Discounted rates are available for seniors 65 and older and people with disabilities who have a qualifying ID card (e.g. Medicare).
