Our lab has long-standing collaboration with Prof. David G. Harrison in studies of vascular oxidative stress in endothelial dysfunction and hypertension. Dr. Harrison is world-wide known expert in the pathophysiology of hypertension.  He provided outstanding contributions in the studies of eNOS uncoupling, tetrahydrobioterin synthesis and oxidation, role of vascular oxidative stress, central nervous system and inflammation in the development of hypertension.

We had an extensive collaboration with a number of outstanding faculties from Emory University School of Medicine such as Prof. Kathy K. Griendling, Prof. W. Robert Taylor, Prof. Dean P. Jones, Prof. A. Maziar Zafari, Prof. C. Michael Hart, and Prof. Hanjoong Jo, Dr. Roy L. Sutliff RL and Dr. Michael E. Davis. These principal investigators performed pioneering works in the studies of oxidative stress and redox regulations in cardiovascular pathological conditions.

We have a number of publications in collaboration with Dr. Ronald P. Mason Free Radical Metabolism Group at NIEHS, NC.  These projects were focused on applications of spin trapping technique in vitro and ex vivo in order to identify free radical metabolites and provide non-invasive analysis of superoxide in blood samples. Dr. Ronald P. Mason is a world-wide known expert in application of spin traps for Electron Spin Resonance spectroscopy and immunospin-trapping. These methods provide unambiguous identification of free radicals in cell free systems, intact cells and animal experiments.

We have an extensive collaboration with Laboratory of Nitrogen Compounds (LNC) headed by Prof. Igor A. Grigor'ev at the Novosibirsk Institute of Organic Chemistry, Russia. The research interest of the LNC is chemistry of hydroxylamine bifunctional organic derivatives, new methods of synthesis of heterocyclic compounds, such as oximes, nitrones and stable nitroxides. Prof. Igor A. Grigor'ev and Dr. Igor Kirilyuk have numerous contributions in the development of spin traps, spin probes and cell-targeted nitroxide based antioxidants.

We will be happy to collaborate with you on your projects dealing with oxidative stress or mitochondria. Please do not hesitate to contact us with your questions and suggestions.
